Watercolor painting in nature
Watching a Tulip grow on a daily basis is like watching nature paint in watercolors. If you look carefully at these photos you may notice that the bloom begins with just one color as base with a few hints of other colors. As time progresses the other colors start increasing their territories in area and display patterns. See how the white and red zones change in the above pictorial sequence. Once all the colors are well established, the petals curl at the edges and then some of them turn outwards, making the flower more sculptural. By now it looks like a fully completed work of art, ready to be framed in your mind’s eye.
