   Hello Ratna,

   I just read your ‘Reflections of Life’ story. Fabulous! The Gardening aspect of the story was really touching. I had for the first time in my life planted a small garden filled with tomatoes, cilantro, green peppers, etc. And I totally related to the feeling of mother nature and motherhood entertwined to enrich the experiences of life that can only be seen and understood through a woman’s eye. Your words beautifully describe feelings that are shared by most of us. Thank you. All the best.

   I loved reading about Akaina’s metamorphosis. You have put in a lot of effort and thought into this story and I am thrilled to be part of the target audience. The garden of Monet is truly a place of bliss which we all can enjoy vicariously through Akaina. After all, ‘ a thing of beauty is joy forever.’ We look forward to other stories from you which straddle the worlds of motherhood, architecture, and gardening with aplomb!

   Who would have thought of bridging East and West by weaving a poem from Subhadra Kumari Chauhan and a quote from Anna Quindlen together into a story? This is truly ‘literary globalization’! Reminscing one’s childhood through this story, I thought of Jagjit Singh’s famous “Woh kaagaz ki kashti, woh baarish ka paani” song from a few decades ago!

   This is an impressive piece of work. The comparisons between architecture and gardening have been brought about brilliantly. Akaina’s love for architecture blossomed into her love for gardening, bringing continous joy and sense of fullfilment to the creative and nurturing ambitions in her. Finally the comparison of all this to motherhood was very tenderly accomplished.

    Thanks for including me in your fan club. You got to have a very sensitive nature to relate with nature & its creations. Man – the beautiful creation of nature, pays back by creating from soil.
