Vernal Equinox
Today is Vernal Equinox, which means equal day and equal night. It also marks the end of Summer and the beginning of Fall. Here is an image that marks the end of Summer for me.
Before I bid farewell to a wonderful Summer, I would like to thank the following for inspiring me to prepare many articles for this blog.
I thank,
The Hostas leaves for giving me instant inspiration to paint and for creating live sculptures in the backyard,
The Hydrangeas for creating a well-brewed bloom in the silent kitchen,
The climbing Roses for creating an art gallery and making it seem so effortless,
The Nasturtiums for bringing the joy of baby umbrellas and raincoats and also for teaching a life’s lesson,
The blue and white flowers for inspiring me to create a visual jugalbandhi,
The Strawberry flowers for their parallel of crop rotation and professional growth,
The Lilies for explaining Newton’s third law of motion, in a floral medium,
The young Sunflower buds for inspiring me to conceptualize a stadium design,
The Sunflowers for making the garden sunny even on rainy days and
The late Summer leaves and blooms for creating Summall
And now its time to welcome Fall. The cool nights have created hints of Fall colors in some leaves. So far I have shared with you paintings of leaves which have either cool colors (e.g. one, two) or warm colors (e.g. one, two). At this time of the year, you find leaves with an interesting mix of both. So to celebrate the beginning of Fall, here is a painting in warm and cool colors. More cool and less warm. The cool color compliments the warm day and the warm color compliments the cool night. With this I look forward to a colorful Fall season, in the North-East of America.
