Fuchsia Festival

A riot of colors, textures and forms! |
Well, I have never cultivated them personally but what I have really enjoyed doing is to use them as subjects for painting. So far there are at least 15 in my collection. At one of my painting exhibitions, there was an entire section devoted just to Fuchsias. Some of these have also surfaced in this blog. Here are a few old posts that highlight some of their distinct features:
- Petals with design.
- Sepals with playfully sculptural look.
- Sepals with thick, leathery texture and a glow.

With so many Fuchsias in this post, it does feel like a Fuchsia festival!
