Lily Trees: An Investment Update

In the old days, social networks were used to spread word about a good bargain, a great buy e.g. where to shop for what commodity. Now in this internet era, blogs do the same. Keeping this in mind, its time to update you about my lily tree investment. For those who are new to this blog, let me tell you the gist of this story. It began as a spring temptation. Then the bulbs were bought and planted. Its growth was documented on this blog from a young shoot bubbling with leafy life to the unfurling of the first bunch of lilies.

Now its their second summer in my garden and the results are as promised. This year, out of 6 trees, five grew up to 4′ tall with 3-10 blossoms each. The sixth tree is 5′ tall and has 16 blossoms!! Above you can see two photos. The left one is proof of 16 and the right one shows all flowers and peaked off ends. As for the actual lilies, they last on the tree for 10-15 days with a heavenly scent. If you use them for indoor flower arrangements, they flood the room with their heavenly scent, very quickly.

For those among you who might be interested in bringing this heaven into their garden, here is the link to the same. Last year I bought 6 bulbs for $8.99 (with a $20.00 off coupon). Now that is a great bargain, for a bounty of lilies every summer. So spread the word, spread the joy.

The flower is the poetry of reproduction. It is an example of the eternal seductiveness of life.
