Tango in Green
This summer with more than normal rain, different plant species have shown unusual results, here in the Northeast of America. Many trees have lush green, leafy vines twining around their barks, right since May (see below). It looks like Tango in green! For those among you who are new to this blog, here is an old post that explains Tango in fall colors
As I see these green vines, two lines from an old Hindi song come to my mind, that I find very appropriate to quote at this time:
Jab raat hai aisee matwali
(when the night is so wonderful)
Phir subaah ka aalam kya hoga?
(then what will the ambience of the morning after be?)
Similarly, if the summer is so leafy green, can you imagine how gorgeous the fall will be?
Well, this explains Tango in two mediums i.e. dance and nature. Considering this as a warm-up, in October (first week) I shall post an article on Tango in yet one more medium, namely architecture. This involves the design for a multi-purpose arena, which was my M.S.Arch thesis at IIT, Chicago. So look out for ‘Tango in Architecture’.
