Peonies: B to B
Just when I got busy, planning a new set of paintings in green, a miracle occurred in my garden. Let me explain. Two years back I planted three sets of Peony bulbs in my garden. In the first year they got a few small leaves. In the second year they grew taller with bigger leaves and just one Peony. This year they have matured in size and bore many buds. Much to my delight they have blossomed well. Each blossom is almost 6 inches in diameter and bears plenty of petals.
Above you can see some pictures of the same from ‘B to B’ i.e. bud to blossom. Anyway after waiting for three years, it is a treat to see them. In the Chinese culture the blossoming of Peony is supposed to be a harbinger of good luck and fortune. So I am dreaming of a book deal
Only time will tell.

We should enjoy this summer, flower by flower, as if it were to be the last one we’ll see.
