Celebrating Summer – An Exhibition
Last year in the fall season there was an exhibition of my paintings in this blog. Now that summer is at its peak, I decided that its time to have a similar exhibition, but it should celebrate summer greens! So here are a few of my summer paintings, in two categories, namely grass and leaves. Many among you have already seen them appear in different posts in this blog. But by putting them together, it becomes an exhibition.
GRASS
Grassy Summer, 2010 |
Wild Grass, 2010 |
LEAVES
Hostas, 1995 |
Strawberry Leaves, 2010 |
Cheese Plant Leaf, 2010 |
Banana Leaves, 2007 |

With this exhibition, I shall take leave from blogging during the month of August, 2010. Summer is short and its time to take a break to recharge the mind and soul. If you miss reading the posts from this blog in August, then feel free to read the top 20. Before I wrap up this post, here is what to expect in this blog, from September onwards:
- Book reviews of:
- Loud and Clear by Anna Quindlen
- Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia by Elizabeth Gilbert
- Leaving India: My Family’s Journey from Five Villages to Five Continents by Minal Hajratwala
- Paintings that explore only yellow and green colors in the fall.
With this I hope that you too take the time to enjoy the rest of the summer. See you all in September.
